General Class

Participants will delve into the essential elements of the opening, middlegame, and endgame stages of chess. Active engagement with chess equipment will be a key feature, ensuring that students are hands-on throughout the learning process. The classes will involve board demonstrations and practical exercises to facilitate a deeper understanding of chess concepts and strategies.
 

Tactics & Endgame Class

This course is crafted for students with a foundational understanding of chess. It aims to instill principles of tactics and endgame strategy to equip students for competitive play. By focusing on these key areas, participants will be well-prepared to excel in chess competitions.
 

Opening & Strategy Class

This course is tailored for students who have already grasped the fundamentals of chess. They will delve into principles of tactics and strategy to not only enhance their enjoyment of casual play but also to prepare them for friendly competitions.

Weekend Club

The weekend club convenes on the first, second, and third Saturdays of each month from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Participants can enjoy two hours of chess instruction followed by uninterrupted casual play. This setup provides students with a chance to engage in chess with their peers in a relaxed setting. Assistance is readily available to students, and various chess variants may also be explored during the sessions.

 

Rated 1000+ Class

To qualify for this class, students must have a USCF rating of 1000 or higher. This course is tailored for students who have a grasp of fundamental chess tactics and strategy. The focus of the course will be on advanced strategies, positional advantage, and intricate tactics within the game of chess.
