Beginner Class
This course is designed to teach chess to students who have no knowledge of the game. Students will learn pawn and piece movements as well as the fundamentals of the beginning, the middle and the end game. Students will always touch and use chess equipment. The class will include board demonstrations and practical interaction.
Tactics & Endgame Class
This course is designed for students who already know the basics of how to play chess. Principles of tactics and endgame strategy will be taught to prepare students for competition.
Opening & Strategy Class
This course is designed for students who already know the basics of how to play chess. Principles of tactics and strategy will be taught to prepare students for casual fun & competition. |
Weekend Club
The weekend club meets on First, Second, Third Saturdays of the month, 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. 2 hours of chess instruction, and continuous casual play! Overall giving students an opportunity to play chess with their friends in a low-stress environment. Assistance is always given to students. Variants of chess may be played.
Rated 1300+ Class
The student must be USCF 1300+ to qualify for class. This course is designed for students who understand the basics of chess tactics and strategy. This course will emphasize advance strategy, positional advantage and complex tactics in the game of chess.
